This is the first rapid test for Ebola virus , approved today by World Health Organization (WHO). The test is developed by Corgenix Corp. and it is less accurate than PCR tests for Ebola virus but it reaches 90% of accuracy to detect Ebola virus with no electricity and within 15 minutes , thus it is faster than the normal tests which takes long time to detect the Ebola virus with special procedures and bio hazards precautions , the test is still not approved by Food and durg administration FDA.
Ebola outbreaks started in Africa and 23,250 people have been infected in the outbreak and 9,380 have died.
